About us

The Queanbeyan Art Society's mission is to provide a supportive and encouraging environment for artists.

We work together to develop, educate, and provide opportunities to exhibit, promote, and sell art.

The Queanbeyan Art Society (QAS) was established in 1967 and is a non-profit organisation which hosts art exhibitions, competitions, art groups, classes and other events. The gallery is situated on the banks of the Queanbeyan River. A newsletter is produced monthly in-line with the current exhibition and available in the gallery for members and visitors.

QAS holds eleven exhibitions a year, some of which are open competitions, and the remainder are for members only. The current exhibition of artworks is on display in the gallery as well as on our website under the Current Exhibitions tab. Many of the artworks are for sale and enquiries are always welcome, contact us via email qartsociety@gmail.comWe also have a gift shop section within the gallery where you will find unique hand-crafted gifts for friends and family.

Exhibition Entries can be submitted by online entry form (preferred) or by printable entry form. You will find details and links at the top of the Exhibition Calendar page.

Art Groups meet regularly and artists of all levels are welcome. The groups cover all art media and some focus on particular subject matter. Participation fees are kept low, and a relaxed and supportive environment is encouraged. See the Gallery Groups page for more information.

Workshops are conducted by visiting professional tutors throughout the year. You will find the listing of upcoming workshops and other events on the Workshops page.
